Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Grandma's Kitchen: City of Flavors ("the game"), published by RuiCodex, handles data. In short: the game has no account, keeps your progress on your device and works fully offline. When you are online it talks to Google's services (ads, purchases) and to our own game server (leaderboards, optional feedback and anonymous gameplay statistics).
Data stored on your device
Your progress (restaurants, levels, stars, coins, gems, upgrades, missions, achievements, cosmetics), your settings (sound, music, vibration, language) and the items you own are saved only in the app's private storage on your device.
Our game server
When you are online, the game sends the following to our server at grandmaskitchen.ruicodex.com over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection:
- An anonymous install ID — a random number created on first launch. It is not linked to your name, e-mail, phone number or advertising ID.
- Leaderboards: your level results (score, stars, level, play time) and the nickname you choose. Nicknames and scores are shown publicly on the leaderboards. Offensive nicknames are replaced automatically.
- Feedback (optional): if you send in-game feedback, the category, rating and text you write, plus the game version, OS version and language.
- Anonymous gameplay statistics: events such as "tutorial completed" or "level 5 cleared", with game version and language, used only to find where the game is too hard or broken.
- Purchase context: when you start, complete or cancel a purchase, which product and which screen it came from (never payment details), used to improve the store.
The server also sees your IP address as part of every internet request. We store it with leaderboard submissions for up to 90 days to prevent cheating and abuse, then remove it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob): optional reward videos you may choose to watch for a bonus, and occasional full-screen ads between levels (never during a level; "Remove Ads" switches them off). When an ad is requested or shown, Google processes your device's advertising identifier, an approximate location derived from your IP address, device information and your interaction with the ad, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. See how Google uses data.
Consent and your choices
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (and where US state laws require it), Google's User Messaging Platform asks for your choice before ads are personalised. You can change it at any time in Settings > Privacy options. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device settings.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive your payment details. The game stores which items you own; Settings > Restore purchases asks Google Play again.
Ratings
If the game shows a rating request, it is Google Play's own review window. The game never rewards a rating and does not know whether or how you rated it.
Keeping and deleting data
Data on your device stays until you uninstall the game or reset your progress. Leaderboard entries stay until you delete them; feedback and statistics are kept for up to 24 months. You can delete your online data at any time with Settings > Delete my online data, or by writing to info@ruicodex.com with the install ID shown in Settings. We do not sell personal data.
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the Turkish KVKK and similar laws you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, or object to its processing. Write to info@ruicodex.com; we answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
